About The Preschool Playhouse

 Hello! I'm Jessica Mecham, owner and provider of The Preschool Playhouse.

For more than 25 years, I've had the privilege of caring for young children and watching them reach exciting milestones, from first smiles and first steps to first friendships and kindergarten readiness. Caring for children isn't just my profession; it's truly my passion.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with an Emphasis in Early Childhood Education from the University of Utah, hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, and am TOP Star Endorsed. I believe that combining years of hands-on experience with continued education allows me to provide the highest quality care and early learning experiences for the children I serve.

One of my favorite parts of family child care is getting to know each child as an individual. Every child has their own personality, strengths, interests, and learning style, and I enjoy creating meaningful experiences that help them grow with confidence.

I also believe that parents are a child's first and most important teachers. By building trusting relationships and maintaining open communication, I work alongside families to support each child's growth, development, and happiness.
