Welcome to The Preschool Playhouse

The Preschool Playhouse is a licensed family child care program designed to provide children with the perfect balance of learning, play, and nurturing care.

My program is built around the belief that young children learn best through hands-on experiences, purposeful play, and meaningful relationships. Rather than relying on worksheets or rigid instruction, children learn by exploring, asking questions, creating, experimenting, and interacting with the world around them.

Each day includes a balance of structured preschool activities and child-led play that encourages language development, early literacy, math, science, art, sensory exploration, music, movement, outdoor play, and social-emotional learning. These experiences are carefully planned to be developmentally appropriate while meeting each child where they are.

Because I intentionally keep my program small, every child receives individualized attention, encouragement, and support. This allows me to tailor learning experiences to each child's unique interests and developmental needs while fostering strong relationships and a true sense of belonging.

Health and safety are the foundation of everything I do. I maintain a clean, organized environment, follow all Utah Child Care Licensing regulations, participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), and provide nutritious meals and snacks each day.

Above all, I want children to leave The Preschool Playhouse feeling confident, capable, kind, and excited to learn. My goal is to create an environment where childhood is celebrated, curiosity is encouraged, and every child is given the opportunity to thrive.

A Home Away From Home

Children thrive in a warm, welcoming environment where they feel safe, loved, and respected. My goal is to create a place where every child feels a sense of belonging from the moment they walk through the door.

Play is the foundation of early childhood learning. Through hands-on activities, children develop language, early math, literacy, science, creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills while having fun.

Every child develops at their own pace. I take the time to get to know each child's personality, interests, and developmental needs so I can provide experiences that help them succeed.

Children of different ages learn from one another every day. Younger children gain confidence by observing older peers, while older children develop leadership, patience, and empathy by helping younger friends.

Building confidence, kindness, self-control, and healthy relationships is just as important as learning letters and numbers. Throughout the day, children are encouraged to express their feelings, solve problems, work together, and develop the social-emotional skills they will use throughout life.

I believe children are most successful when families and caregivers work together. Open communication, mutual respect, and a strong partnership help create a positive experience for every child. My ultimate goal is to provide more than childcare. I strive to create a place where children feel valued, families feel supported, and learning happens naturally through joyful experiences that inspire a lifelong love of learning. 

The Preschool Playhouse is located in a safe, welcoming neighborhood where children can learn, play, and grow in a comfortable home environment. My home is thoughtfully arranged with inviting learning and play spaces that encourage curiosity, creativity, and exploration.

Children enjoy daily opportunities for both indoor and outdoor play using a variety of age-appropriate materials and equipment that support learning through play. I take pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and nurturing environment where children feel secure, valued, and confident to explore the world around them.
